Nordiska museet is Sweden's national museum of cultural history, located in a purpose-built building on Djurgården in Stockholm. The Stiftelsen Nordiska museet foundation preserves and brings to life the memory of life and work in Sweden, principally after 1520, holding around 1.5 million objects, extensive archives and 6 million images, and also manages four historic visitor sites.
