Syngenta is seeking an Engineering Internship with Seed Quality in Nampa, ID. This internship role will support the delivery of ollaborate with Syngenta Engineering and QC Physiology to optimize laboratory testing for vegetable crops, focusing on seed testing within a new facility and workspace. By applying engineering principles and facilitating clear communication, you will support Quality Control testing, transition the QC Physiology team into Project Leaf, and prepare operations for future automation.
As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate & Optimize: Partner with Syngenta Engineering and QC Physiology to improve laboratory testing for vegetable crops, with a focus on seed testing in a new workspace.
- Support QC Testing: Apply engineering principles and strong communication to support Quality Control testing.
- Project Transition: Guide the Engineering team to understand the needs of the QC Physiology team for a successful transition into Project Leaf.
- Futureproofing: Prepare laboratory processes for upcoming automation.
- Develop and test automation options for sowing and/or evaluation. Collaborate with other physiology testing groups to better understand current technologies.
- Provide support for HSE compliance and continuous improvement for all QC testing activities.
- Maintain accurate records of project related documents and processes using computer-based technologies.
- Support the development and validation of new physiology testing methodology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information
Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
