Location Overview Join our team in Aman New York. East meets West and old meets new. With a year-round Garden Terrace, flagship Aman Spa and spacious suites all among the largest in the city.

Role

The Director of Rooms is responsible for the leadership and overall performance of the Rooms Division in accordance with the policies, standards, and procedures established by Aman New York.

This position has an annual compensation range of $145,000 - $170,000.

Responsibilities

  • Protect and uphold the Aman brand by delivering thoughtful, genuine, and personalized guest experiences.
  • Lead the daily operation of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Experience, and will support the Concierge department.
  • Maintain departmental standards, policies, and operating procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all hotel departments.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, payroll, labor, purchasing, and operating expenses.
  • Conduct regular operational audits and quality inspections.
  • Develop managers and colleagues through ongoing training, performance feedback, and succession planning.
  • Partner with Engineering to oversee preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Hotel Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of leadership experience within the Rooms Division of a luxury hotel.
  • Strong operational knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Experience, and Concierge.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, payroll, and operating expenses.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong guest relations and service recovery skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel operating systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Professional demeanor with the highest level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
