IT Specialist - Officer - Post-trade Application - 12 months contract

Job Summary:

Application is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems for clearing and settlement. Application makes up several specialized teams that have in-depth technology knowhow to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties:

As IT specialist, you will perform application development, system testing and documentation of mission critical IT systems. You will also handle technical enquires and support testing by external and internal parties.

Responsibilities:

• Develop s/w as per program specifications.
• Perform the unit tests and system tests.
• Perform performance testing and performance tuning work.
• Handle technical enquiries, perform investigation and support testing by external and internal parties related to the responsible IT systems
• Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 2+ years’ experience in Java, Microservices and Container application development and support
• Proficiency in Java and SQL, Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiar with DevOps life cycles and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Jira, Git, Junit, docker, etc.)
• Experience in cloud technologies or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
