JOB SUMMARY

PINE Lab, under the direction of Dr. Laurel Gabard-Durnam, seeks a postdoctoral fellow to execute research projects within the scope of our Gates Foundation-funded Project SCALE, assessing how we can create and implement low-density and low-cost EEG solutions to measure neurodevelopment and evaluate public health interventions in development. The postdoctoral fellow would have access to multiple large-scale datasets through this project and can ask content questions that fit their career goals and interests using these datasets.

This role and PINE Lab are part of the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex at Northeastern University, a community of labs examining brain, mental, and physical health across the lifespan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Phd in Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Psychology, or related field;
  • Experience with EEG signal processing and study design;
  • Statistical analysis skills for brain analyses; and
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both within a team and independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Executing and leading research projects within the scope of the Gates Foundation Project funding (45%);
  • Generating first-author manuscripts in collaboration with team members and Laurel (45%);
  • Mentoring junior lab members and co-supervising undergraduate students working on the projects (5%); and
  • Contributing to HAPPE software as needed to execute the research projects (5%).

Expected Hiring Range:

$60,315.00 - $85,192.50
