The Yard Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all facilities, including headquarters and remote yard locations. This role ensures that all properties, equipment storage areas, and support infrastructure are safe, compliant, and optimized to support rapid deployment during storm restoration events.
Responsibilities:

- Resource Management: Optimizing the allocation of resources (personnel, materials, equipment).
- Policy and Procedure Development: Creating and implementing operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Leading, motivating, and mentoring teams, including performance management and conflict resolution.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in construction, utilities, or industrial environments
- Experience managing multiple locations or regional operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emergency-response environment
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management software
Preferred
- Experience in electrical contracting, utilities, or storm restoration operations
- Familiarity with fleet yards and field crew support logistics
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and tool safety standards
Work Environment & Travel
- Periodic travel between yard locations (PA, Pittsburgh, MS, CT)
- Ability to work extended hours during storm events and emergency response situations
- Combination of office, warehouse, and outdoor yard environments
