Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will support the data hall portion of a new-build data center project in Fort Worth, Texas. This role will lead customer-specific construction and fit-out activities, coordinating design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and operational readiness requirements are met. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead customer-specific construction and fit-out scope within large-scale data center projects.
- Coordinate customer requirements with design, engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Manage scope, budget, schedule, procurement, risk, and change management through turnover.
- Review customer requirements and impacts to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and life-safety systems.
- Lead design coordination and technical reviews with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Develop scopes of work, bid packages, cost estimates, and procurement plans.
- Manage change orders, commercial impacts, and cost recovery related to customer-driven changes.
- Track long-lead equipment and materials and drive procurement to protect project milestones.
- Coordinate field execution with General Contractors, trade partners, vendors, commissioning teams, and customer representatives.
- Monitor progress, critical-path activities, and project risks; drive mitigation and recovery plans as needed.
- Serve as a primary customer interface throughout construction, commissioning, and turnover.
- Lead punch list, closeout, documentation, and operational readiness activities.
- Provide regular reporting on cost, schedule, procurement, risk, and key customer commitments.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Experience managing data center, mission-critical, industrial, or other complex construction projects.
Strong understanding of data center design, construction, fit-out, commissioning, and turnover.
Experience managing projects from design through construction and operational handoff.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, security, and other critical systems.
Experience with budgets, cost estimates, contracts, change orders, procurement, and commercial negotiations.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, long-lead procurement, and risk management.
Ability to manage contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong customer-facing communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- 6+ years of construction project management experience, including mission-critical or data center projects.
- Proven experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Knowledge of data center electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure systems.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships.
- Data center experience highly preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Construction, Engineering, or related field
Experience: 8+ years experience in project management, preferably on data center builds.

The salary range for this full-time role is $115,700.00-$161,966.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
