M&T Bank is hiring a Financial Advisor to grow and manage a book of business in the Baltimore market. This role offers access to a robust referral network across Retail, Business Banking, and Wealth partners—giving you the opportunity to focus on what you do best: building relationships and delivering advice-based solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and grow a book of business through referrals, new client development, and a defined territory of retail branch partnerships
- Deliver personalized investment and insurance solutions aligned to client goals
- Partner with branch, business banking, and wealth teams to generate consistent opportunities
- Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend tailored strategies to grow and protect assets
- Manage the full client lifecycle—from discovery to long-term relationship management
What You Bring:
- 4+ years of investment and/or insurance sales experience
- Proven track record growing client relationships and assets under management
- Strong business development and networking skills
- Ability to work independently while leveraging internal partnerships
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' sales, sales administration, financial services, and/or retail banking experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' sales, sales administration, financial services, and/or retail banking experience
Licenses Required:
- Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66
- Life/Variable Insurance license
