Skilled Laborer - Primoris Heavy Civil - Golden Meadow, LA

Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and select appropriate materials.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, and trim.
• Assemble and fasten material together to construct forms for pouring concrete, stairs, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and team members on the job site.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:**

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in heavy civil construction or a related field.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install various materials.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and the ability to work safely at all times.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
