Xpert: SAP S/4HANA Test Manager

Role: SAP S/4HANA Test Manager Location: UK or SA Engagement: Contract Start: TBC

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Test Manager to lead testing delivery within a large-scale global SAP transformation programme. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for planning, governing, and executing testing activities across SAP and non-SAP workstreams, ensuring quality, release readiness, and successful go-live outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end test delivery from planning through go-live and hypercare.
• Develop integrated test plans, schedules, quality gates, and governance frameworks.
• Lead SIT, UAT, regression, data migration, cutover, and non-functional testing activities.
• Manage defects, risks, dependencies, and executive-level test reporting.
• Coordinate environments, test data, releases, and cutover rehearsals.
• Drive test automation and reusable regression frameworks using Tricentis or similar tools.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple suppliers and stakeholders.
• Provide evidence-based go/no-go recommendations and quality assurance insights.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in Testing/QA, including 5+ years leading enterprise SAP testing programmes.
• Proven experience delivering at least two SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, or conversions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, testing lifecycles, and release readiness.
• Experience across SIT, UAT, regression, cutover, and data migration testing.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes, particularly Finance and Procurement. Exposure to Manufacturing, Logistics, or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, enterprise test management tools, and defect governance.
• Tricentis Tosca experience highly desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
