Patient Care Attendant

VCA Avondale Veterinary Hospital is looking for a caring and dependable Patient Care Attendant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with animals and wants to gain hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital.

Schedule: Part-time opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate care and attention to hospitalized and boarding pets
• Feed, walk, and monitor animals according to their individual care instructions
• Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, and other hospital spaces
• Assist the veterinary team with basic animal handling and patient care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff
• Monitor patients and communicate any changes or concerns to the veterinary team
• Stock supplies and assist with general hospital duties as needed
• Provide excellent care and a positive experience for both pets and their owners

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but not required
• A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to be a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to safely lift and carry animals and supplies as needed
