Employer description

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.

That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Upstream team, which builds supply path products for Tatari. This is a technical product role. You will own backend and API-facing features across the bid stream auction; develop exclusion and scoring logic; and write the requirements that improve these features. You will also monitor live campaign performance to catch problems before publishers or clients do. You will also work directly with major US streaming publishers on integrations being the technical product lead in these partner conversations. Success in this role means understanding the system deeply enough to engage with engineers and data scientists about how it should work, and then writing requirements clear enough that they can build it.

Responsibilities

  • Own backend and API-side product work in the optimization layer: waterfall, prebid/auction, exclusion logic and the scoring model; and write the PRDs and tickets that improve them.
  • Create and manage Jira Epics, Confluence documents, JPD Ideas and participate in Product side of Agile activities (Sprint planning, PRD reviews, Retrospective, Stakeholder presentations etc.)
  • Run product discovery with both internal and external customers and write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Run publisher and partner integrations day to day (VAST, RTB).
  • Monitor live campaigns, delivery and performance reports daily; spot anomalies and work with AdOps and QA to resolve them.
  • Support the programmatic team on inbound requests, triage what matters, understand the system well enough to know what can be answered and what can't.
  • Partner with data science on the scoring model: interrogate the approach, question the assumptions, and translate the model into product requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience.
  • Technical depth in ad tech infrastructure. You can reason about API design and backend behavior, and hold your own with engineers without being one.
  • Hands-on experience with VAST and/or RTB integrations.
  • Strong data reasoning. You can open a performance report, read the numbers and say what is actually happening.
  • Demonstrated ability to write PRDs that engineers can build from: clear problem framing, specified user stories, unambiguous requirements.
  • Fluent product discovery fundamentals: talking to users, defining the problem before the solution.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English
  • Based in Ukraine or Europe

Preferred

  • Experience working alongside data science teams on modeling or algorithmic products.
  • Experience in a technical support or solutions role with external customers or partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English with US-based publishers and internal teams.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary including equity package and quarterly tax assistance (only for Ukraine tax residents)
  • Competitive time off plus company wellness days throughout the year
  • Team building events
  • Annual continued education benefit
  • Newbie Productivity Perk
  • Monthly stipend
  • Currently remote but may be hybrid when there is a physical office in Ukraine
