What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The target pay range for this position is $66,000 - $71,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

We work to prevent abuse by providing education, resources, and support to parents, families, and community organizations.
Denver Human Services is seeking a passionate and well-rounded individual to serve as a Family Team Meeting & Permanency Round Table Facilitator within Child Welfare Services on the Family Engagement Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating up to three, 2-hour family meetings per day as well as regularly facilitating both Family Team Meeting (FTM) and Permanency Round Table (PRT) meetings. You will also be charged with scheduling those meetings, arranging the meeting spaces, conducting the meetings and producing written reports outlining the details of the meeting and the team decisions that come of them.
The Family Team Meeting (FTM) Team at DHS manages and facilitates the family engagement meeting process, including facilitating meetings that include internal staff, community members, family/clients, attorneys and other professional providers. The FTM Facilitator guides the meeting team in making decisions regarding the following: removal of the child from the home, change of placement, 90-day case reviews, permanency, reunification, and case closure.
The PRT (Permanency Round Table) Team manages and facilitates permanency focused, family meeting for cases that include children in out of home placement for over 12 months and/or those cases that have not yet achieved a permanency plan for the child or youth. The Permanency Round Table Facilitator ensures that the meeting team is avidly working toward permanent connections and/or permanent placement for the child.
Additionally, the FTM/PRT Facilitator:
- Prepares for FTM and PRT meetings, including identifying and coordinating logistical and safety matters, and reviewing case summary if available
- Conducts and facilitates FTM and PRT meetings, including setting ground rules and expected outcomes, leading brainstorming, and moving the group towards consensus
- Manages and resolves high conflicts during FTM and PRT meetings and determines when additional intervention steps are required in the event consensus cannot be reached during FTM and PRT meetings
- Will complete prep work and planning for the various stages of the PRT process
- Works closely with supervisor and team members to ensure business needs are met.
- Serves as professional support and resources for case workers during and after FTM and PRT meetings
- Facilitates and participates in making decisions regarding removal, placement and reunification of children with the intent of preventing out-of-home removal or finding the least restrictive option
- Utilizes extensive network of county community-based services, organizations and resources to effectively facilitate meetings and make immediate decisions on appropriate course of actions
- Completes FTM and PRT meeting activity reports documenting situation, safety and risk concerns, and placement planning
- Compiles and provides data and statistics for management to track success rates of FTM and PRT processes
- Ensures work conforms to appropriate policies, regulations, procedures, standards and laws of State and Federal agencies
- Effectively conducts both, in‑person and virtual facilitation
- Performs other duties as assigned

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- At least 3 years of child welfare case work experience
- Facilitation experience
- Ability to engage families and professionals, as well as manage high conflict and difficult behaviors
- Demonstrate flexibility and adapt quickly to changing needs, using strong problem‑solving skills to resolve issues as they arise
- In-depth knowledge of agency policy, Volume VII, and agency and community resources
- Expertise in assisting the meeting team reach consensus and making quality decisions
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Requirements as set forth in Colorado Department of Human Services Volume 7 and/or Volume 30 regulations
- Experience: Two (2) years of post-graduation professional social case work experience at the type and level of Social Case Worker and demonstrated mastery of essential duties described
- Education & Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements
- Licensure & Certification: Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment. Requires certification as a Social Case Worker in Child Welfare or Adult Protective Services in accordance with CDHS regulations
