Employer description
Thomson Reuters' Transactional Compliance portfolio connects businesses to a growing network of e-invoicing, tax determination, and trade compliance capabilities. Pagero alone connects more than 14 million businesses across 75+ countries and is recognized by IDC MarketScape as a Leader in European compliant e-invoicing. As these products integrate more closely within the TR ecosystem, the organization is scaling its product analytics capabilities across the portfolio.
We are hiring a Senior Manager, Product Analytics to lead data analytics across Transactional Compliance products, and to manage a team of product analysts and data engineers. This role is responsible for defining the analytics strategy across the portfolio, building the frameworks and AI powered tools that turn data into product and business decisions, and developing team capabilities across both analytics and engineering disciplines. This is a player coach role: you set direction across multiple product areas and develop your team, while staying close enough to the work to shape what is possible yourself.
The role carries direct responsibility for advancing Product Analytics' north star: better products through embedded partnership across the product lifecycle, easy data through democratized, AI-powered access, and actionable data that shifts decisions from gut feel to evidence. That includes leading the team's shift from producing analysis to building and owning the AI agents and self-service tools that produce it, while applying data science methods, such as segmentation, behavioral modeling, and experimentation, to answer harder product questions across the portfolio.
This position is suited for a senior product analytics or data science leader with experience managing teams that include data engineers, applying data science methods to product decisions, and building AI assisted and agentic workflows into day-to-day analytics delivery.
About the Role:
As Senior Manager, Product Analytics, you will be responsible for:
- Product Analytics & Data Science Strategy: Define how data becomes a competitive and operational advantage across Transactional Compliance products.
- AI Powered and Agentic Analytics: Lead the team's shift from producing analytical outputs to building and owning the AI agents, conversational tools, and self service products that produce them.
- Product Instrumentation & Data Architecture: Own the strategy for how product behavior is measured across the portfolio. Partner with engineering to design event driven data collection across the customer journey and guide your data engineers' evaluation of data storage and processing architecture.
- People Leadership: Build, manage, and develop a team of product analysts and data engineers with a clear operating model for intake, prioritization, and delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary product analytics partner for product leadership across Transactional Compliance offerings. Build working relationships with peer analytics leaders across TR, particularly where scope or data infrastructure overlaps, and translate complex technical and statistical findings into decision ready narratives for product, engineering, and senior leadership.
About You:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Manager, Product Analytics position possesses:
- At least 8 years of experience in product analytics, data science, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years leading teams that include data engineers or other technical roles.
- Demonstrated ability to set and execute an analytics strategy across multiple products.
- Strong grounding in data science methods, such as segmentation, behavioral modeling, causal inference, or experimentation, and the judgment to know when they add more value than a dashboard.
- Working knowledge of data engineering concepts, cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or equivalent), and pipeline architecture, sufficient to evaluate trade offs and lead data engineers effectively.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI tooling and agentic workflows including building and owning production analytics agents or self-service tools.
- Strong communicator across levels: able to explain statistical and technical findings to non-technical executives and give specific direction to analysts and engineers alike.
- Based in Sweden (Gothenburg), with the right to work there.
Nice to have:
- Experience leading analytics or data science for more than one product line or business unit at once.
- Experience with e-invoicing, indirect tax, global trade compliance, VAT, or other B2B/regulatory transaction platforms.
- SaaS product experience, particularly in enterprise or B2B settings.
- Experience in legal, financial, or regulatory data domains.
