Job Description
Help drive laboratory automation, improve workflows, and solve complex technical challenges in a regulated scientific environment.
We're seeking an experienced Senior Lab Automation Engineer to support and optimize automated laboratory platforms and workflows. This role combines hands-on automation support, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement while partnering with laboratory, quality, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and compliant operations.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert for laboratory automation systems, including liquid handlers, robotics, plate readers, and other automated laboratory instruments.
- Troubleshoot instrument, software, and workflow issues to minimize downtime and improve laboratory performance.
- Develop, implement, and optimize automated laboratory methods and processes.
- Support instrument qualification, computer system validation (CSV), calibration, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities.
- Analyze system performance data and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Train and support laboratory personnel on automated systems and best practices.
- Utilize LIMS, ELN, and related laboratory systems to maintain data integrity and compliant documentation.
- Author and review SOPs, validation documents, protocols, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP/GxP, data integrity, and laboratory safety requirements.
Qualifications
Required

- 6+ years of industry experience supporting laboratory automation, robotics, or regulated laboratory operations.

Additional Information
- Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM. Travel and overtime as needed.
