We are passionate about compliance, safety, and operational efficiency, and we are looking for an experienced Mechanic / Fitter to join our team in Beauly to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet and plant equipment.
What We expect of you:
Your key duties will include conducting mechanical assessments on GCU vehicles and plant to determine repair needs, damages, and required parts. You will perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned vehicles and plant, completing garage repair, service sheets, and defect rectifications.
You'll also carry out function tests on plant equipment before issuing it to teams and manage the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine. Ensuring the safe use of workshop tools and chemicals, as well as maintaining workshop security and tools at the end of each shift, will also be essential responsibilities.
Previous experience in a relevant fitter or technician role. You must be proficient in workshop health and safety practices and able to work independently, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in using computer systems for accurate record-keeping.
