MiniMed is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Principal Strategic Planning Associate to support our Global Product Strategy & Marketing Operations team. This individual contributor role is ideal for someone who is an energetic, data-driven self-starter who thrives in a "Company of Owners" environment, balances strategic thinking with operational rigor, and consistently drives results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting
- Lead market modeling and demand planning for future product launches and new market channels
- Develop and execute forecasting models, including demand planning, revenue projection, and pipeline analysis
- Maintain and enhance forecasting tools and templates, ensuring they are accurate, repeatable, and aligned to business planning cycles
- Analyze historical performance data to identify trends and patterns that improve forecast accuracy and product launches over time
Strategic Initiatives & Workstreams
- Participate in business review preparation and follow-up actions, synthesizing data into executive-ready presentations, including Board of Directors and Growth Day reviews
- Support tracking and operationalization of FY27 Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the global marketing organization, ensuring team execution and performance
- Support the development and synthesis of the comprehensive 5-Year Global Marketing Strategic Plan, translating long-term business vision into actionable, growth-oriented roadmaps and financial models
- Develop and lead new business model innovations to maximize value generation and meet patient needs
Commercial Programs
- Develop market-expansion programs focused on new-patient acquisition, attrition reduction, and margin improvement across global markets
- Scale successful local practices across global markets to amplify impact
- Implement advanced, data-driven patient segmentation models globally to sharpen targeting, optimize messaging, and drive localized commercial execution
- Work closely with global and regional partners to ensure localized marketing efforts are harmonized with the overarching global strategy and operational frameworks
Global Product Launch Planning & Execution
- Support the global product launch planning lifecycle, ensuring alignment between upstream product development and downstream regional commercial toolkits
- Partner with regional marketing leads to establish key performance indicators (KPIs), standard operating models, and commercial readiness metrics for new product introductions (NPIs) serving patients globally
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on commercial performance — including sales trends, territory performance, customer segmentation, market penetration, and competitive dynamics
- Document lessons learned and assist in updating procedures for improving product launch processes and tools. Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor diabetes market trends and competitor activity to anticipate and counter competitive moves
- Conduct and present robust analyses in support of market dynamics and competitive intelligence
Cross-Functional Team Participation & Leadership
- Cultivate deep collaborative relationships with stakeholders to maintain absolute alignment on strategic priorities and resource deployment
- Apply structured problem-solving, strategic frameworks, and creativity to navigate complex, ambiguous business problems
Must Have Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of marketing and or strategy experience
OR
Advanced degree with 5+ years of marketing and or strategy experience
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Finance
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry
- Direct experience in management consulting, strategy, business development, or a related strategic role
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five Forces)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to structure ambiguous problems and synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Proficiency creating and delivering executive-level presentations
- High degree of intellectual curiosity with a proactive approach to work; focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving organizational success
- Proven ability to influence and partner effectively across functions, geographies, and levels in a highly matrixed, cross functional environment
- Familiarity with market research, competitive intelligence, and business case development for organic and inorganic growth opportunities

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$121,000.00- $205,000.00
For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $121,000.00 - $205,000.00 USD.
Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
