Housekeeper – Full Time

SpringHill Suites Tampa North/I-75 Tampa Palms Location: Tampa, Florida Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour and up, based on experience Schedule: Full time; scheduled based on hotel occupancy and business demand Start Time: 9:00 a.m. Weekend Availability Required

Position Summary

SpringHill Suites Tampa North/I-75 Tampa Palms is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Housekeepers to help provide our guests with clean, comfortable, and welcoming accommodations.

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and understands how cleanliness directly affects the guest experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms according to established hotel standards.
• Make beds and replace linens and towels.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, vanities, fixtures, and guest room surfaces.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and remove trash.
• Replenish guest room amenities and supplies.
• Inspect rooms carefully and ensure they are clean, functional, and guest-ready.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items promptly.
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain an organized housekeeping cart and assigned work areas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, security, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Protect guest privacy and hotel property.
• Respond professionally and courteously when interacting with guests.
• Work cooperatively with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and hotel leadership.
• Complete assigned rooms within established productivity and quality standards.
• Perform additional cleaning or hotel-support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments efficiently.
• Professional and respectful when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Must have weekend availability.
• Must be available for a 9:00 a.m. start time.
• Schedule and weekly hours may vary based on hotel occupancy and business demand.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
• Push and maneuver a fully stocked housekeeping cart.
• Lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 30 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Perform physically active work throughout the scheduled shift.
