Contribute to Collins Customer and Quality Excellence by ensuring supplier compliance and quality performance! In this role you will work with a high degree of autonomy to strengthen our supply base through structured approval and performance-monitoring activities, while fostering collaborative problem solving in close cooperation with our Inspection, Engineering and Procurement teams.
This role calls for a leader eager to operate within a fast-moving, evolving portfolio that encompasses all program phases from development through production and sustainment. You will be leading a sustainment program where you will be responsible to direct interaction with the customer and other external entities, proposal preparation and negotiations, and internal cross-functional leadership. In addition, you will provide support to other development and production programs. You will lead through strong cross-functional engagement, partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, and Contracts to execute programs with rigor. Managing financial performance, including cost, schedule, and margin is essential, along with organic growth through the assigned programs.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and represent customer needs to leadership while building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and key suppliers
- Accountability for profit and loss, and program execution including risk and opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
- Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, support internal and external reviews with leadership and the customer(s)
- Provide leadership and direction to a cross functional team
- Identifies and reacts to problems and supports solutions, such as allocation of resources and operational execution
- Manage and grow the customer relationship and ensure customer satisfaction
- Lead proposal and negotiation activities with domestic customers, industry partners and suppliers
- Expected to support domestic & international travel as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
- Program management or leadership experience
- Experience working sustainment program
- Experience with reporting metrics through customer Program Management Reviews
- Experience managing proposals, negotiations
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Solution-oriented and independent working method
- Strong leadership and communication skills
