Staff Accountant - Revenue
PRIMARY PURPOSE
To ensure accuracy of financial data; to maintain and analyze data; to prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries and general ledger (GL) account reconciliation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciles sub-ledgers to GL; prepares monthly journal entries and GL accounts.
- Assists in month-end close and consolidation process, financial report and audit process.
- Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as directed.
- Maintains and analyzes balance sheet accounts and ensures they are accurately stated; conducts timely account reconciliations.
- Performs client audits and reporting.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent preferred. Accounting courses preferred.
Experience
Four (4) years accounting and/or financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Experience with General Ledger (GL) accounting and account reconciliations.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Good detail orientation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
Work Location
This position is fully remote and open to candidates located within the United States.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is 45,027.00 - 63,038.00 - 81,049.00 USD Annual.
