Frazer-Nash Consultancy is looking for an experienced Finance Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and help shape the future of one of the UK's leading engineering and technology consultancies.
Reporting to the KBR CFO and Frazer-Nash Consultancy Managing Director, this is a key leadership role with responsibility extending far beyond traditional financial stewardship. As a trusted adviser to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, you will play a central role in improving commercial performance, informing strategic decisions, supporting growth and ensuring long-term value creation.
You will provide forward-looking financial and commercial insight, helping the business navigate complexity, assess strategic opportunities and make informed decisions that balance growth, profitability and risk.
The Opportunity
This role combines strategic leadership, commercial excellence and financial governance. You will partner closely with senior leaders across the business to improve performance, support transformation and help deliver our future growth plans as part of KBR.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Helping define business strategy as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Improving commercial performance, profitability, utilisation and cash generation.
- Overseeing financial planning, forecasting, and business performance management.
- Evaluating strategic investments, partnerships and acquisition opportunities.
- Supporting major commercial decisions, contract negotiations and bid governance activities.
- Providing leadership in enterprise risk management, governance and compliance.
- Supporting organisational transformation, including digital enablement, AI adoption and business improvement initiatives.
- Overseeing the growth and development of finance, FP&A, and procurement teams.
- Ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and compliance within a KBR environment.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a commercially experienced and strategically minded finance leader who can work effectively with senior leaders across the organisation while maintaining sound financial discipline and governance.
You'll bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience at Finance Director, CFO or equivalent senior finance leadership level.
- A proven track record of influencing business strategy and executive decision-making.
- Extensive commercial leadership experience within professional services, consultancy, engineering or other project-based environments.
- Demonstrable achievement in growing business performance, profitability improvement, and sustainable growth.
- Experience presenting to Boards, Executive Leadership Teams and senior stakeholders.
- Effective stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to growing skilled teams and advancing commercial capability across the organisation.
Experience within consulting, engineering, defence, nuclear, aerospace, infrastructure or other knowledge-intensive sectors would be beneficial, as would experience of M&A, integration activity or operating within a matrixed, multinational organisation.
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
