Help us create a better future, quicker
Join our Licence Development team within SP Energy Networks' Transmission business and help shape the future of the UK's electricity network. As a Network Planning Analyst, you'll play a key role in providing the data, reporting and coordination that supports the development of major network investment projects, customer connections and asset replacement programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of RIIO-T3 and support the infrastructure investment needed to enable the transition to Net Zero. Working at the heart of Transmission Networks, you'll help ensure projects are effectively tracked, reported and coordinated so that critical electricity infrastructure can be delivered successfully.
What you'll be doing
You'll coordinate the tracking and reporting of projects and activities across the Transmission Networks team, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, meaningful and timely information. You'll gather, validate and analyse data from a variety of sources, creating insightful reporting and dashboards using Power BI and Power Query to support decision making.
You'll work closely with colleagues from across the business to understand reporting requirements, improve processes and document workflows. You'll also manage stakeholder requests, support regulatory submissions and undertake activities within SAP to help ensure projects and business priorities remain on track. Throughout your work, you'll champion high standards of safety, quality and environmental performance.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with strong analytical and reporting skills who enjoys working with data and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Experience in data analysis, reporting and dashboard development, particularly using Power BI.
- Knowledge of business analysis techniques, process improvement methodologies and stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience using corporate business systems, ideally SAP.
- Knowledge equivalent to degree-level study in business analysis, business management, information systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, engineering or construction environments would be beneficial.
- An understanding of project lifecycle processes within investment or capital delivery settings would be advantageous.
What's in it for you
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
Our benefits include:
- 36 days annual leave
- Holiday purchase scheme
- Share schemes
- Payroll Giving and Charity Matched Funding

- Life assurance (4x salary)
- Financial wellbeing support
