The Release Lead will be responsible for overseeing build and deployment activities across global business platforms. This role requires strong expertise in Release Management and enterprise‑scale Build & Deployment, with experience in platforms such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Workday, Workfront, or similar environments. Preferred skills include working knowledge of DevOps and AIOps. Proficiency in Sprint/Scrum methodologies, strong organizational abilities, and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams are essential.

Job Description:

  • Lead end to end Production deployments for Global Business Platform (GBP) applications by effectively coordinating cross functional DevOps, engineering, and platform teams.
  • Own the full release lifecycle, ensuring governance and control across all SDLC stages, including approval workflows, quality gates, and release readiness in alignment with Platform Owners.
  • Develop core release documentation such as Plan on a Page (POAP), Cutover Plan, Release Strategy, and Communication Plans for transformation, migration, and modernization programs.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of release processes across all Business Platforms using DevOps and AI Ops practices.
  • Maintain an enterprise-level release calendar and proactively assess risk, dependencies, and change impacts for all planned releases.
  • Facilitate implementation planning, technical walkthroughs, and deployment sequencing with all stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of the execution plan.
  • Provide real-time communication on deployment progress, risks, rollbacks, and completion status to implementation teams and leadership.
  • Manage regression or rollback procedures for any deployment issues, ensuring rapid restoration of BAU operations with minimal disruption.
  • Support and facilitate release related risk workshops; document and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions.
  • Ensure post release reviews, lessons learned, and CSIP (Continuous Service Improvement Plans) are captured and implemented to avoid repeated issues.
  • Champion Agile, DevOps, and AI Ops capabilities across GBP to improve deployment velocity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards for Release Management using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or AI powered insights to demonstrate value and drive data based decision making.
