Survey Assistants

The Survey Technician provides direct support to the Surveyor in carrying out surveying activities across the mining operation. This role focuses on assisting with fieldwork, equipment handling, measurements, and site marking under the guidance and supervision of the Surveyor.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Assist the Surveyor during land, construction, and mine surveys.
• Carry and set up survey equipment including total stations, GPS units, levels, tripods, and prisms.
• Take measurements and readings as directed by the Surveyor.
• Help with marking survey points, boundaries, centerlines, and reference markers on site.
• Support survey set-out activities for roads, buildings, pits, and other mine infrastructure.
• Record field notes and measurements accurately.
• Assist with basic calculations and data entry when required.
• Maintain survey tools and ensure equipment is stored and handled properly.
• Follow all site safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Surveyor.

Experience & Competency Requirements:

• Secondary school completion required.
• A Driver's License.
• Basic training or exposure to surveying, construction, or mining is an asset.
• Previous experience as a survey helper, laborer, or field assistant is an advantage.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in a mining environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Physical ability to work outdoors and handle equipment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
