About the Role

As a Maritime Signatures modelling specialist, you’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of exciting and technically challenging projects. If you have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant physics, engineering concepts and an inquisitive mind for solving complicated problems, we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality engineering analysis, modelling, design support, and operational advice.
  • Engage with clients across industry and government
  • Deploy excellent communication and report writing skills to make an impact
  • Contribute to bids, proposals, and strategic consultancy work
  • Work as part of diverse, technically capable project teams
  • Support development of junior engineers and promote best practice
  • Help shape technical solutions that improve safety, reliability, and performance

Requirements:

You’ll bring some of the following (depending on discipline):

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience in maritime signatures for the defence industry
  • Knowledge of modelling and simulation for maritime signatures, including strong first principles understanding of the underlying physics
  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities coupled with effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks and collaborate across teams
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance (SC or DV)
  • Progressing toward Chartership or already chartered (desirable)

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer‑Nash Consultancy undertakes, candidates will be required to undergo pre‑employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
