Employer description

We are looking for a Depot Equipment Site Coordinator to join CAF and support our railway projects in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

In this hands-on, site-based role, you will coordinate and oversee the installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance and delivery of workshop equipment, working closely with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal project teams.

You will serve as a key point of contact throughout the execution phase, ensuring activities are completed safely, on schedule and in line with contractual, technical and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the unloading, installation, commissioning, testing, training, acceptance and delivery of workshop equipment.
  • Act as CAF’s main on-site interface with customers, equipment suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate suppliers and contractors and ensure smooth integration with other project activities and subsystems.
  • Verify that civil works and site conditions meet the technical requirements for equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Follow up on required site modifications and technical issues with the customer and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier progress, schedules, quality and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate equipment handover and ensure all required technical documentation is properly completed and delivered.
  • Maintain accurate records throughout the installation, testing and acceptance process.
  • Work closely with the CAF Quality team to manage quality issues and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Support compliance with occupational health and safety requirements on site.
  • Participate in project, coordination and H&S meetings as required.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in railway workshops, industrial equipment, complex machinery or similar technical projects.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and civil works plans.
  • Basic certification in Occupational Risk Prevention for the construction sector.
  • Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Native-level Hebrew and good English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, site-based environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and occasional meetings with teams in Europe.
