Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Maritime Project Manager to join our Ports and Marine team. Are you excited by the prospect of leading design teams from concept planning through design development and construction phases services? In this role you would work on a wide range of waterfront infrastructure projects across our East Region Marine group. It is envisioned that you will work on domestic and international design-build, progressive design-build and design-bid-build projects.
The Maritime Project Manager will assist the Technical Lead of maritime/waterfront design projects that are anticipated to include ports and harbors, container terminals, offshore wind terminals and turbine foundations, coastal waterfront resiliency and industrial parcel redevelopment opportunities.
The Maritime Project Manager has the following responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering & design solutions and production activities for an operating unit with a specific focus on alternative delivery projects including design-build and progressive design-build.
- Generates technical assessments, makes presentations and recommendations both internally and externally and implements decisions that are recognized as authoritative.
- Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within AECOM and is skilled in design development, contract document preparation, compliance with budget and schedule requirements, effective communication with planning, environmental and construction teams and understands the need for timely resolution of critical issues for successful project delivery. At this level, the individual will have a demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, ability to work with and lead a multi-disciplinary design team and can comprehend and convey client objectives, develop designs that respond to project goals and accomplish high-quality technical excellence.
- Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual technical problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guidelines for diverse engineering activities.
- Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in Marine Waterfront, Ports and/or Terminal engineering design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering License (PE) in Structural or Civil.
- Experience running multiple infrastructure projects with construction values that exceed $100 million.
- Experience with marine and waterfront structures.
- Knowledge and familiarity of several of the following: AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, Bentley RAM Suite, Tedds, Enercalc, MathCAD, Hilti Profis, Bluebeam, STAAD.pro, LPILE.
