Paver Operator - Asphalt Paving

Put your asphalt paver experience to work on highway and site paving projects. The work offers consistent hours on projects already underway.

What you will do

• Operate the asphalt paver for roadway and site improvements.
• Maintain the required alignment and grade during pavement placement.
• Keep the asphalt mat uniform, paying attention to layer thickness and joint condition.
• Coordinate machine operation with the crew handling the screed.
• Manage haul-truck changeovers and synchronize paver movement with the rolling team to maintain production flow.

What you bring

• At least three years running asphalt pavers with highway or commercial paving teams, or comparable hands-on field experience.
• Practical understanding of asphalt layer thickness, material yield, and properly formed pavement joints.
• Ability to time truck transitions while keeping paving operations moving alongside the compaction crew.
• OSHA 10 training is preferred but not required.
• A current driver's license and dependable transportation.

Location: Birmingham, AL

Pay: $27 to $37 per hour

Employment: Full-Time W-2
