A day in the life
As a Compensation Analyst at Prologis, you will support the analysis and administration of global compensation programs aligned with our pay-for-performance philosophy. You will evaluate jobs, maintain job architecture, analyze market competitiveness, and help execute compensation processes accurately and efficiently. This role combines analytical rigor with operational execution and continuous improvement, partnering across HR to turn compensation and workforce data into practical insights. You will also use Workday, modern tools, and scalable approaches to improve the quality, speed, and experience of compensation processes for employees and leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support annual compensation processes, including salary, incentive, and equity planning, data validation, reporting, and employee communications.
- Analyze and evaluate jobs for internal leveling, job architecture alignment, and external market matching.
- Coordinate compensation survey participation and maintain accurate, reliable market data for compensation analysis.
- Analyze compensation, market, and workforce data to identify trends and develop clear, practical recommendations.
- Partner with HR Technology and HR Business Partners to strengthen compensation processes, reporting, and data integrity in Workday.
- Support Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners with compensation guidance for external offers, internal moves, promotions, and other pay decisions.
- Improve compensation processes and support global initiatives through process redesign, automation, analytics, AI-enabled tools, compliance reviews, and related projects.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in compensation analysis and administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Workday or a comparable HCM system.
- Experience with job evaluation, market pricing, compensation surveys, and compensation data analysis.
- Ability to interpret quantitative data and develop practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in compensation analysis and administration.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to apply compensation-related laws and regulations to compensation analysis and administration.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- Certified Compensation Professional designation or progress toward certification.
- Experience supporting global compensation programs.
- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Compa.ai, Bettercomp, Everstage, or other compensation planning or benchmarking tools.
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
Hiring Salary Range of: $97,600–$122,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
