Vice President
Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong
Key responsibilities
- Calculate profit tax in compliance with Hong Kong tax regulations. Ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.
- Perform advisory function to the business units. This includes withholding tax, corporate income tax, booking and tax treaties.
- Stay up to date with changes to accounting standards and tax regulations. Analyze potential impacts and develop appropriate action plans for compliance.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for head office. Conduct variance analysis.
- Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure all accounting and tax operations adhere to internal policies, procedures and controls.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of related experience in a financial institution
- Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills for report preparation and variance analysis
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Self-motivated
