Vice President

Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong

Key responsibilities

  • Calculate profit tax in compliance with Hong Kong tax regulations. Ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.
  • Perform advisory function to the business units. This includes withholding tax, corporate income tax, booking and tax treaties.
  • Stay up to date with changes to accounting standards and tax regulations. Analyze potential impacts and develop appropriate action plans for compliance.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for head office. Conduct variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure all accounting and tax operations adhere to internal policies, procedures and controls.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience in a financial institution
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and tax regulations
  • Strong analytical skills for report preparation and variance analysis
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Self-motivated
