Bar Manager – The Trop Bar & Grill

The Trop Bar & Grill is seeking a passionate, organized, and dependable Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our bar. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced hospitality professional who takes initiative, makes sound decisions, and is ready to take ownership of the department.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily bar operations and serve as the primary point of leadership for the bar team
• Complete weekly liquor, beer, and wine orders while maintaining appropriate inventory levels
• Manage liquor costs, inventory controls, ordering, and product waste
• Build and maintain strong relationships with liquor, beer, and beverage representatives
• Coordinate promotions, sponsorships, pricing, and product opportunities with suppliers
• Communicate expectations, priorities, and important updates to the bar team
• Address bar-related concerns promptly and hold team members accountable
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and well-stocked bar
• Work closely with the General Manager and contribute actively to the management team
• Work regular bartending shifts as part of the role

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of bartending experience
• 1–2 years of management, supervisory, or team-lead experience
• Strong knowledge of bar operations and the hospitality industry
• Experience with inventory management, ordering, and liquor-cost control
• Organized, reliable, accountable, and comfortable working independently
• Confident decision-maker with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Clear communicator who can lead a team and maintain performance standards
• Genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to take ownership of the bar

Compensation

$20 per hour for Bar Manager responsibilities, plus regular bartending shifts and tips.
