Cluster Assistant IT Manager

Role

Under the direct supervision of Cluster IT Manager, the Cluster Assistant IT Manager is to provide assistance and support to the Cluster IT Manager in the overall management of information technology systems within the hotel, implementation and maintaining Corporate IT Standards and ensure all systems are functioning at maximum capacity to achieve efficiency and productivity of all resources.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with operation departments to ensure their processes are being simplified with the right introduction of technologies.
• Assist in the coordination of any IT projects in terms of planning, preparing schedules, allocating resource and communicating progress to other departments based on direction from Cluster IT Manager.
• Assist to update the IT inventory and licensing lists on a regular basis.
• Assist in the review of system security and reinforcement on change of password periodically.
• Assist Cluster IT Manager to carry out regular system checks in terms of users and system logs and quarterly network and system health checks.
• Work with vendors or consultants in the purchase of hardware, software and services based on Cluster IT Manager directions and instructions.

Requirements

• verbal and written proficiency in Japanese and English
• Information Systems and network knowledge / qualifications
• Knowledge of hotel operations and systems
• minimum 5 years work experience in IT related industry
• Ability to work long hours when required
• Understand the need to be on 24 hours standby basis due to nature of work
• Able to implement procedures and ensure compliance
