Job Profile Summary:

The Assistant Foreman Midstream is responsible for coordinating routine activities based on maintenance plans, monitoring digging and boring in and around lines, managing line crossing inspections, ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of the pipeline system. The role reviews equipment changes provided to the master data team to keep records accurate, manages periodic visual inspections of lines to identify and address any anomalies or potential maintenance needs, and ensures lines operate in compliance with state and federal laws. The role supervises completion of corrective tasks based on work orders and coordinates monitoring real-time surveillance of pipeline systems. the role guides and mentors the pipeline operations team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing pipeline maintenance processes.

Job Description:

  • Coordinates routine activities based on maintenance plans, monitors digging and boring in and around lines, manages line crossing inspections, ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of the pipeline system.
  • Reviews equipment changes provided to the master data team to keep records accurate and keep pipeline map data current with GIS, ensuring accuracy in mapping systems.
  • Manages periodic visual inspections of lines to identify and address any anomalies or potential maintenance needs. Monitors the pigging schedule, overseeing and coordinating pigging activities for pipeline integrity.
  • Ensures lines operate in compliance with state and federal laws, all regulatory permits or Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, maintaining adherence to industry standards.
  • Supervises corrective tasks based on work orders, including overseeing vendor performance and ensuring timely completion and adherence to established standards and safety protocols.
  • Coordinates monitoring of real-time surveillance of pipeline systems including pressures, volumes, and overall system balances on a regular basis to ensure optimal pipeline performance and identify potential issues.
  • Promotes best practices, resolving issues in pipeline operations and maintenance, and developing staff to ensure safe, ethical, and effective work practices.
  • Guides and mentors the pipeline operations team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education is required. Associate's Degree in Engineering or any other related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Pipeline Inspections, Operations, and Maintenance or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certifications (preferred)
  • API 1169 Pipeline Inspector Certification (preferred)
