Maintenance Operator

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides technical support in maintaining all hotel systems, equipment, and facilities. Collaborate with the Maintenance Team by taking leadership during operations and handling complex maintenance tasks.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

• Perform skilled repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems;
• Assist in preventive maintenance activities under supervisor guidance;
• Support preventive maintenance activities for guest rooms and public areas;
• Handle electrical repairs such as sockets, switches, lights, and fuses;
• Repair plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and fixtures;
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly;
• Assist in recording maintenance logs, spare parts usage, and problem reports;
• Respond immediately to guest room breakdowns and complex service requests;
• Respond to engineering requests from other departments;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshop and tools;
• Report any abnormalities in equipment and building structure;
• Act as shift-in-charge when Supervisor is not available;
• Support fire & life safety tests including alarms, sprinklers, pumps, and emergency lights;
• Technical knowledge in electrical and plumbing basics;
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong multi-technical ability;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Good knowledge of hotel maintenance standards;
• Perform routine repair and maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
