ABOUT APPLY
APPLY is the Agentic Customer Experience (ACx) partner for the world's most ambitious consumer and entertainment brands. We bring together deep domain expertise across Retail, CPG, Sports, and Media with AI-native delivery capability, designing and delivering agentic solutions that turn CX vision into commercial reality. We are the partner of choice for brands like Arc'teryx, NFL, Lululemon, and Kraft Heinz. For more information, visit applydigital.com.
LOCATION: APPLY is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America, preferably working in hours that align to PT (Pacific Timezone) or ET (Eastern Timezone). Candidates located in Santiago, Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago, Chile will be fully remote employees.
THE ROLE:
As a Project Manager embedded in a large-scale telecommunications engagement, you will lead cross-functional delivery and governance for a fast-paced digital transformation program in the Mexican telco market. Reporting into the Project Management team, you will own end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams — from digital self-service products to internal tooling and customer-facing experiences — ensuring on-time delivery, quality output, and measurable business impact.
This role requires deep familiarity with how telco organizations operate: their internal structures, digital channels, and the complexity of serving millions of subscribers across prepaid and postpaid models.
LOCATION
APPLY is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Santiago, Chile — candidates in Santiago are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Mexico City is our second preferred location. All candidates should work in hours that align to CT (Central Timezone) or PT (Pacific Timezone)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership & Governance
- Develop, define, and lead oversight and governance mechanisms for software and digital delivery workstreams across the engagement, covering the end-to-end software development lifecycle from planning and discovery through development, testing, release, and deployment
- Build and maintain program plans, schedules, RAIDD logs, and performance reports aligned with client priorities and software delivery milestones
- Manage complex, competing priorities with structured thinking and a high degree of creativity
- Apply agile and lean methodologies to ensure successful management and transparent reporting of initiatives within software development and digital product delivery environments
## Team Management & Execution
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams (design, engineering, QA, product), establishing clear strategies and milestone plans across the software development lifecycle
- Drive priorities and task assignments aligned with overall program objectives
- Navigate teams through technical and organizational challenges, applying proven PM principles
- Partner closely with software engineering teams to translate business and client requirements into well-scoped, executable delivery plans — including sprint planning, backlog refinement, dependency management, release coordination, and deployment readiness
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a primary delivery contact for client stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives
- Partner with client account managers to understand business needs and translate them into actionable delivery plans for digital products and software initiatives
- Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and blockers before they impact delivery
- Ensure client expectations are consistently met and exceeded throughout the engagement
Process & Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain project management processes across all workstreams within digital and software delivery environments
- Develop resolution plans when delivery challenges arise, escalating appropriately and swiftly
- Ensure deliverables meet scope, quality, and timeline expectations before handoff or release , with appropriate consideration for software testing, release, and deployment processes
TELCO INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)
You have delivered digital projects within the telecommunications sector. This experience must be in software and digital product delivery. Experience limited to infrastructure, networking, hardware, network deployment, data centers, or other non-software telecommunications projects does not meet this requirement.
You have direct experience managing or coordinating software development teams and projects and are comfortable operating within the end-to-end software development lifecycle. You understand how Engineering, QA, Product, and Design teams work together to plan, build, test, release, and deploy digital products.
Experience with mass-market prepaid operators or MVNOs is strongly preferred. You have hands-on familiarity across several of the following:
- Self-service in remote channels: IVR, WhatsApp and conversational assistants.
- Self-service in owned channels: mobile app and authenticated web (My Account).
- Sales and awareness products: public website, acquisition and conversion journeys.
- Complementary products: device sales/e-commerce, captive portal.
- Internal tools for operations teams: back-office, agent-facing and support tooling.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7–10+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 3 years in the telco industry managing or coordinating software development teams and digital/software delivery projects in a hands-on delivery capacity
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) — required
- Proven track record delivering digital projects in the telco sector, ideally in Mexico or LATAM
- Strong command of project management tools: Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace, Notion, Smartsheet
- Demonstrated experience with agile and lean delivery methodologies applied within software development contexts, including sprint-based delivery, backlog management, dependency management, release management, and awareness of CI/CD practices
- Proven track record managing programs involving digital transformation, business process optimization, or organizational change
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills — able to translate complexity for both technical and executive audiences
- Strong client-facing skills and experience managing expectations in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and resources simultaneously without sacrificing quality
## Nice to Have
- Telecommunications Engineering Degree
- Experience in consulting, agency, or professional services
- Professional certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or SAFe
