Electrical Senior Principal Power Engineer_Networking Switch Products

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve:

As an Electrical Senior Principal Power Engineer supporting Network L11 rack-scale solutions, you will drive the integration and delivery of enterprise-class networking platforms that combine advanced switches, power, cooling, and rack-level infrastructure technologies. Working closely with cross-functional teams across ISG, you will develop deep expertise in L11 system architecture, hardware integration, validation, and deployment on power shelf through end-to-end engagement in the product lifecycle. From defining rack-level designs and hardware configurations to enabling manufacturing, supply chain readiness, data center deployment, and field serviceability, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, scalable, and reliable networking solutions in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment driven by innovation, integrity, and accountability.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead end-to-end integration of Network L11 rack-scale solutions on power shelf selection, power shelf validation, system integration and rack infrastructure for AI and high-performance networking deployments.
  • Define and drive L11 system architecture on power shelf selection and serviceability requirements to ensure scalable, reliable, and deployable solutions.
  • Apply deep understanding of data center architecture, networking infrastructure, and rack-level integration to develop optimized solutions that meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and deployment objectives.
  • Collaborate across hardware, mechanical, thermal, electrical, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to translate requirements into robust, production-ready designs.
  • Lead system integration reviews, validation activities, and complex problem-solving efforts, driving issue resolution from development through deployment on the power shelf while meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance goals.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience and a strong foundation in power and power shelf product development to evaluate technical tradeoffs and align product decisions with business, operational, and customer requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of rack-level power shelf, including networking hardware power distribution and platform configuration.
  • Experience translating data center, customer, and infrastructure requirements into scalable, reliable, and serviceable hardware solutions.

Desirable Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Network L11 rack-scale solutions, including system integration, rack architecture, power, cooling, and data center deployment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking platforms, AI infrastructure, or large-scale data center environments, including collaboration across cross-functional engineering teams.
