ROLE SUMMARY

The Oncology Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) serves as a key scientific leader within Taiwan, with the ability to independently drive high‑quality medical and scientific engagements with Oncology healthcare professionals (HCPs) to advance disease‑area understanding and support Pfizer’s medical strategy. Through expert and objective scientific leadership, the role integrates critical field insights into medical planning, ensuring strategic alignment across launch readiness, lifecycle management, and evidence‑generation priorities. The Sr. MSL upholds scientific quality, compliance, and consistency across all medical‑to‑medical activities while collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners to optimize scientific materials and medical initiatives. In addition, the role contributes to Pfizer‑sponsored and/or investigator‑initiated research (IIR), communicates measurable field medical impact, and supports broader Medical Affairs priorities to address evolving therapeutic‑area and organizational needs within the Taiwan market. The role is considered as field based with at least 80% of colleague time in external interactions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead External Medical and Scientific Engagement Independently lead high‑quality and compliant scientific engagement with healthcare professionals to strengthen disease‑area understanding and support Pfizer’s medical objectives.

· Provide Expert and Objective Scientific Leadership Act as a trusted medical resource by delivering balanced, evidence‑based scientific information aligned with healthcare professional needs and patient‑care priorities.

· Integrate Field Insights to Shape Medical Strategy Systematically collect, evaluate, and translate field insights into actionable medical plans to support launch readiness, lifecycle management, and strategic decision‑making.

· Ensure Scientific Quality, Consistency, and Compliance Ensure that all medical‑to‑medical activities, scientific communications, and stakeholder interactions meet Pfizer’s medical governance principles, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

· Drive Cross‑Functional Medical Collaboration Collaborate closely with Clinical Team, cross functional partners, to co‑develop, adapt, and optimize scientific materials and medical initiatives.

· Support External Research and Evidence‑Generation Activities Contribute to Pfizer‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated research through appropriate scientific engagement and ensure alignment with operational, documentation, and compliance expectations.

· Demonstrate and Communicate Field Medical Impact Consolidate internal and external feedback to quantify and communicate the value of field medical activities, supporting continuous improvement and stakeholder alignment.

· Support Additional Medical Affairs Priorities Contribute to other medical initiatives as assigned by the Country Medical Lead to address evolving organizational and therapeutic‑area needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master's degree or above in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
  • PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years of medical affairs experience or relevant therapeutic area. Existing MSL experience is preferred.
  • Oncology therapeutic area experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting clinical research, RWE, or evidence generation activities is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, including medical writing and scientific presentation.

Language & Communication

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to diverse internal and external stakeholders in both local and global settings.
  • Comfortable presenting scientific data and contributing to regional and global discussions.
