Job Description
*Position is contingent upon contract award*
SOSi is seeking an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (Al/ML) Engineer. The AI/ML Engineer shall design, develop, test, evaluate, and deploy Al/ML models and ensembles across various domains, including generative Al, classification, prediction, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning. Al/ML engineering services will be provided to support Sponsor's initiatives, leveraging expertise in Al/ML algorithms, software development, and cloud computing.
Essential Job Duties
- Design and develop Al/ML models and ensembles using Sponsor's data and requirements.
- Preprocess, clean, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured Sponsor data to assess utility for Al model training and testing.
- Collaborate with staff officers to conceptualize, design, develop, and execute experiments verifying model performance and system soundness.
- Deploy and maintain Al/ML models and ensembles in cloud-based environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines, SQL configurations, and
- performance metrics to support Al/ML applications.
- Document and communicate methods and findings using Sponsor's formats and templates, which could include authoring analytic publications, producing ad-hoc reports, creating data visualizations, delivering slideshow presentations or briefings, or documenting methods in GitHub repositories.
- Provide technical education to staff on an ad-hoc basis on AI/ML related topics.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Al/ML to support Sponsor's initiatives.
