Senior Desktop Liability Adjuster

We have a fantastic opportunity for Senior Desktop Liability Adjusters / Liability Claims Handlers, based anywhere in the UK.
We're looking for dedicated liability professionals to join our growing team. In this role, you'll manage a varied caseload of Employers' Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) injury claims, alongside Third Party Property Damage claims, with flexible working arrangements including hybrid options.
This is a technical, customer-focused role involving the investigation of policy coverage and legal liability, negotiation and settlement of claims on behalf of our insurer and corporate clients, and the handling of both injury and property damage claims through to conclusion, working independently and under referral where appropriate.
You will investigate allegations made against policyholders, provide detailed liability advice, gather and assess relevant evidence, identify potential fraud risks, maintain proactive communication with all parties, manage litigated files where required, and ensure accurate record keeping and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.

The skills you will have when you apply:
- Thorough knowledge of current case law, common law/statutes, and regulations.
- Insurance qualifications are desirable, but relevant experience is equally valued.
- Strong team working and collaboration skills.
- Good understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation.
- Knowledge of contract, statute, and civil liability.
- Strong investigation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with corporate clients, small businesses, insurers, and brokers.
- Influencing skills to gain agreement on proposals and ideas.
- Effective listening and empathetic response skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Motivation to provide prompt, efficient and personalised service to both external and internal customers.
