MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Support, maintain, and continuously improve core ICT infrastructure platforms, ensuring the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of business-critical systems.

This role provides technical expertise across:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

🌐 Infrastructure & Platform Architecture

• VMware vSphere administration and support
• Compute, storage and infrastructure management
• Capacity planning and optimisation
• Infrastructure maintenance and lifecycle management

🔒 Network & Security

• MikroTik routing, switching and wireless infrastructure
• Palo Alto firewall administration
• VPN, VLAN and WAN management
• Security controls and compliance

☁️ Cloud, Backup & Recovery

• Identity and cloud service administration
• Backup and replication management
• Disaster recovery testing and support
• Business continuity planning

⚙️ Automation & Operational Excellence

• Infrastructure automation
• Operational improvements
• Process optimisation
• Technical documentation and standards

🛠 Technical Support

• 2nd and 3rd Line support
• Root cause analysis
• Infrastructure troubleshooting

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

🎓 Qualifications

• Relevant ICT, Networking, Systems Administration or Infrastructure qualification

✅ Experience

• 5 to 7 years' experience in enterprise ICT infrastructure environments
• VMware vSphere administration
• MikroTik networking environments
• Palo Alto firewall management
• Backup and disaster recovery technologies
• Multi-site infrastructure support
