About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is entering a landmark new phase, with the opening of a major Emergency Department expansion. This expansion will significantly increase our capacity and enable us to meet the rapidly growing healthcare needs of the Wyndham community, providing timely, high-quality emergency care to an additional 25,000 patients each year. This expansion will double the current ED capacity, featuring 34 new treatment spaces, including state-of-the-art resuscitation bays and dedicated short-stay beds. We are looking for experienced registered nurses with a passion for ED nursing to join our team. Our dedicated ED education team offers tailored training and continuous support, empowering you to thrive in the fast-paced emergency department setting.

What you’ll bring
You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post graduate Critical Care qualifications – Highly regarded, but not essential
- A minimum of 12 months experience working in an Emergency Department
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
