Job Summary

Kaseya is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to the development of scalable software platforms and cloud-based applications. This role will focus on building, testing, and maintaining software features that help organizations improve operational efficiency, security, and visibility across their technology environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with experience delivering production software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuing to grow technical depth in modern SaaS and distributed systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain software features for cloud-based applications and platform services.
  • Contribute to backend services, APIs, integrations, and core platform components.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Work with senior engineers, QA, product management, UX/UI, and operations teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Follow engineering best practices for secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and maintainability.
  • Investigate bugs, performance issues, customer-impacting defects, and technical problems while driving resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to improvements in reliability, usability, security, scalability, and system performance.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and technical questions clearly within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience building production software, SaaS applications, platform services, or similar systems.
  • Hands-on programming experience with languages such as Java, C#, .NET, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with agile development, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and debugging production software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SaaS products, enterprise software, business applications, or cybersecurity solutions.
  • Exposure to AWS, cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, or large-scale applications.
  • Understanding of APIs, application security, service reliability, and scalable software design principles.
  • Experience working with integrations, telemetry systems, data processing services, or application monitoring tools.
  • Ability to work independently on defined tasks while seeking guidance when needed. [
