Job Description

We are looking for a professional, qualified and enthusiastic individual to take up a full-time position of Accountant, Regional F&A to support our well-established team in Latin America.

This position is responsible for performing finance and accounting activities for the local legal entity and for other Latin America countries, ensuring accurate accounting, timely financial close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and Group reporting in accordance with local regulations, Group Finance policies, and internal controls.

Hybrid position in São Paulo

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing end-to-end accounting processes and acting as finance contact for local management, Group Finance, external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Owning and executing accounting transactions such as journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensuring completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the general ledger across all accounting areas.
  • Independently resolves accounting issues and ensures correct accounting process.
  • Managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for the legal entity and for other Latin America countries.
  • Preparing and posting journals, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring timely closure of accounting periods and resolution of all close-related issues.
  • Preparing and/or supporting Group reporting packages for local legal entity and for other Latin America countries.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of trial balances.
  • Providing variance explanations and financial analysis inputs.
  • Preparing and filing or supporting VAT returns, statistical filings, and other required regulatory declarations.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other local tax requirements.
  • Acting as the primary contact for, or supporting communication with external auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Supporting financial planning activities.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting is a must.
  • Full working proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Intermediate English.
