What you will do

  • Perform security risk mitigation planning based on the standard information security program framework, such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC1/SOC2
  • Provide a technical advisory support for both the internal teams and the customer organizations as needed
  • Respond to the InfoSec-related support requests from other departments and teams, which includes, but not limited to: internal audit, independent external audit, customer’s vendor security risk assessment, etc.

BrightEdge is looking for an Information Security Analyst, who will be responsible for preventing, monitoring, and responding to cyber threats and data breaches.

This position is expected to be on-site in our River North Chicago office 5 days a week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Assist in validating and testing security tools and operation automation processes
  • Assist in responding and investigating security incidents
  • Prepare security incident reports, and document and maintain security operation procedures
  • Perform access review and internal control assessment for security compliance
  • Document and track known vulnerabilities and control deficiencies
  • Perform security risk mitigation planning based on the standard information security program framework, such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC1/SOC2
  • Provide a technical advisory support for both the internal teams and the customer organizations as needed

What It Takes to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 1-2 years professional experience in IT or Security
  • Experience with at least one or two programming languages
  • Ability to research and provide recommendations on cybersecurity best practices
  • Ability to leverage expertise in technical writing and presentations
  • Ability to pay attention to details in analysis and operation duties
  • Ability to ask questions and learn from on the job training
