Director of Rooms - Amanpulo

Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic Director of Rooms to lead our Rooms Division team, overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, Sports and Recreation, and Laundry operations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Rooms will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational excellence, and team performance across all areas of the Rooms Division. The role will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to deliver exceptional and personalized guest experiences while driving operational efficiency and supporting the overall profitability of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Rooms Division to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee guest arrivals, departures, room assignments, and special requests.
  • Ensure all rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor department heads and team members.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to enhance satisfaction.
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure personalized and memorable guest experiences.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the same or a similar leadership capacity, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Rooms Division operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, Guest Services, and Laundry.
  • A passionate hospitality leader with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional and personalized guest experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
