Purpose of the Role
The Product Testing Technician plays an important role in ensuring product quality, functionality, and reliability by supporting the preparation and execution of validation activities before projects, products, features, or firmware releases reach serial production or are deployed in the field.
This role exists to:
- Prepare products, prototypes, equipment, and setups for testing
- Execute validation and characterization tests according to defined test plans and procedures
- Collect, organize, and perform an initial analysis of test results
- Identify, document, and report defects, edge cases, and unexpected behaviours
- Support the assembly, configuration, and maintenance of validation setups
- Ensure test activities are executed accurately, consistently, safely, and with full traceability
The ultimate mission is to improve the quality and consistency of test execution and contribute to the delivery of robust and reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare products, prototypes, samples, tools, test setups and equipment required for validation activities
- Execute manual, semi-automated, and automated tests according to defined test plans and procedures
- Perform validation and characterization tests for products, projects, firmware releases, digital platforms, and new features
- Operate laboratory and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, power analyzers, and data acquisition systems
- Compare test results against defined requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Identify abnormal behaviours, edge cases, deviations, and potential product failures
- Perform initial troubleshooting to help distinguish between product failures, setup issues, measurement errors, and incorrect configurations
- Prepare clear, complete, and structured test reports
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test procedures, setups, tools, and laboratory practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical qualification in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related technical field
- Practical understanding of electrical and electronic systems
- Familiarity with laboratory and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and power analyzers
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and test procedures
- Ability to assemble, configure, and perform initial troubleshooting of electrical and electronic test setups
- Ability to question unexpected results and investigate their possible causes
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Nice to Have Skills
(Not mandatory but highly beneficial)
- Previous experience in product validation, laboratory testing, production testing, quality control, electronics troubleshooting, or industrial maintenance
- Experience with embedded systems or firmware validation
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and communication protocols such as UART, I²C, SPI, CAN, BLE, Modbus, or Ethernet
- Basic knowledge of Python or another scripting language
- Familiarity with power electronics, battery systems, or high-voltage equipment
Working knowledge of English for reading technical documentation and reporting test results.
Pay Range
€17,500.00-€34,500.00
