Job Description
What does the Human Resources Division do? Our Human Resources team supports leaders and employees throughout the organization, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture where everyone can reach their full potential. We work collaboratively to enhance the employee experience, including everything from recruitment and onboarding to professional development and employee benefits.
What projects might I support? Although subject to change, examples of work you will be contributing to include:
- Collaborate with various Human Resource team members to complete meaningful assignments that foster interpersonal relationships and provide exposure to teams across the Wellmark organization
- Support project and operational work where you will leverage problem solving skills, complete research deliverables, utilize communication skills (written, verbal, facilitation) and collaborate on results-oriented approaches
- Engage in programs and networking opportunities to strengthen business acumen in the health care industry
- Support internship program by motivating and driving participation among your intern peers to fully engage with opportunities available throughout the summer

This internship will start in May of 2027, working a hybrid schedule from our headquarters in Des Moines.
