SECTION1: MAIN DUTIES

Systems/Operations

• Ensures Guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources. Lead role in implementation of PM programs, energy conservation programs, Health safety & environmental issues.
• Effectively implement systems & procedures that ensure safetyof visitors, employees, plant, machinery and property.
• Ensures reliable, quality, efficient andcost effective engineering services to allthe customers including internal & external.
• Liaise withgovernment agencies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Forecasting & Control on spares, Manpower & Material Planning, Co-ordination with accounts for cam calculation and billing to the licensees.
• Energy Conservation & Engineering Budget.
• Optimizes savings in energy expenses by implementing energyconservation programs.
• Monitors HLP consumption on a dailybasis.
• Ensures PM schedules implementations.
• Monitors R&Mexpenses on a regular basis.
• Ensures that area of operation meetshigh class service standards to the Guests and other department.
• Establishes and ensures adherence to key systems andprocedures in engineering area.
• Recommends changes in system and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service.
• Responsible for implementations of systems and procedures which ensures safety for Guests, employees, plant, machinery and property.
• Responsible for maintaining records& documents as per organizational requirements.
• Encourages development of multi-functionality amongthe subordinates.
• Uses appraisal system to reviewthe performance of direct subordinates and determines theirdevelopment needs.
• Ensures department employees are fullytrained through constant trainings.
• Ensures attendance on behavioral andvocational trainings in own &related areas to enhance skills& encourage multi-functionality.
• Ensures department employees are fullytrained on all the systems & procedures to ensuresafety requirements.
• Counsels subordinates in personal &work related matters.
• Ensures careerdevelopment & succession planning for subordinates
• Recommends hiring,promotion, increments, disciplinary action, performance related salary increments forall subordinates.
• Review the performance of direct subordinates & determine theirdevelopment needs.
• Motivates &encourages team building in engineering department.
