Employer description
About Canals
Canals builds software for wholesale distributors, helping them operate more efficiently through automation and AI.
Our customers are the companies responsible for moving the materials that power the real economy; electrical supplies, plumbing products, roofing materials, HVAC equipment, and more. Every day, thousands of people rely on Canals to help process orders, manage purchasing, handle accounts payable, and streamline critical business workflows.
We're a profitable, rapidly growing company with a team of roughly 100 people distributed across North and South America. We care deeply about building great products, hiring exceptional people, and creating an environment where talented individuals can do the best work of their careers.
The Role
Industry trade shows have been a key driver of our growth since the beginning — and we’re doubling down. We’re looking for a Field Marketing Manager to take ownership of the operational side of our events and offline marketing efforts.
In this role, you’ll manage logistics, campaigns, and communication around in-person events, ABM gifting, and virtual webinars. You’ll help ensure the team attending each conference is fully supported and able to focus on building relationships and closing deals.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end logistics for trade shows: booth setup, swag, dinners, travel, and registration
- Coordinate pre- and post-event outreach (email, LinkedIn, paid ads, app content, attendee lists)
- Support presenters with slide content, planning, and logistics for conference talks
- Maintain an organized conference calendar and help evaluate future opportunities
- Track and report on event outcomes to improve our ROI over time
- Support webinars and other virtual events from setup to execution
- Handle logistics for ABM gifting campaigns (packaging, shipping, tracking)
- Own vendor and association relationships tied to events and sponsorships
- Track and manage event budgets
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or a similar role
- Highly organized and reliable, with strong project management skills
- Comfortable juggling competing deadlines and shifting priorities
- Strong communicator and true team player
- Self-motivated and proactive — someone who gets things done without needing hand-holding
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus

We value ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement. Good ideas can come from anywhere, and people are trusted to make things happen.
