Supply Chain Repair Data Engineer

Description -

Job Summary

Data Engineer responsible for supporting HP repair and refurbishment operations, driving supplier performance, optimizing repair costs, improving quality and customer experience, and supporting strategic repair network initiatives. The role uses operational analytics, supplier management, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficient and scalable repair services across HP's global service supply chain

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day repair and refurbishment operations across HP's repair network, ensuring service, quality, and cost performance targets are achieved.
  • Monitor repair volumes, turnaround times, capacity utilization, and operational KPIs to support business objectives.
  • Partner with external suppliers and repair vendors to drive performance, quality improvements, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze repair cost drivers and identify opportunities to reduce spend while maintaining customer experience and service levels.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on repair effectiveness, process optimization, and network simplification.
  • Develop and maintain operational reporting, performance dashboards, and executive-ready business reviews.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Service Delivery, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Repair Partners to implement strategic initiatives and operational changes.
  • Support repair network strategy, capacity planning, forecasting, and supplier governance activities across global regions.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks impacting repair execution, customer satisfaction, and business continuity.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding repair operations, supplier performance, and network optimization opportunities.
  • Drive efficiencies and process automations.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Data, Data Engineering, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in project and program management, quality, lean six sigma, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
